I"M OUTTA HERE!!!

Today is THE day. I will be leaving for convention very shortly. I can't wait to get to Denver. It looks like I will be doing my swaps in the car on the way to Utah to catch the plane. I have been swamped lately so swaps were put on hold.... I have some of them done, just not all of them.

I'm going to miss you guys! Have a wonderful week. Keep an eye out for convention projects. I will try to post them ASAP!

8 1/2 inches!

Boy, does it feel good to finally have all of that hair off of my neck! I cut off 8 1/2 inches and I LOVE it. I always feel good after a haircut. It's nice to do something for myself for once... buying stamps doesn't count... that benefits others as well as myself! :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Amanda

Finally going to cut it all off!

I know that that cartoon doesn't apply to me, but I thought it was kinda funny!

I am going to get my hair cut today. I haven't cut it for a whole year! No... I am serious. I cut it right before convention last year... sad isn't it?!? To be quite honest with you, I have no idea how I am getting my hair cut... just that I want it short. It is WAY too HOT to have long hair.

Today is going to be a pretty fun day. My aunt, uncle, cousin, and his wife are all coming to Pocatello and we are going to the Mystique theater. We are going to eat prime rib and see the play Beauty and the Beast! I can't wait. The last time I went to this place I had a blast... this should be even better. Although, the highlight of my company's day is the release of the 5th Harry Potter book at midnight. They are going to be sooo consumed by that, that they may not enjoy the show! :)

Christmas in July!

I considered this for my convention swaps, but changed my mind. I don't know if you can see it or not in the picture, but I used the paisley background stamp. What a fun stamp that has turned out to be. Lots and Lots of punching out too. I've really been struggling to get my swaps done... things have just been insane. Wish me some luck!

FOR ROMAN

A simple little card that I made for my brand new nephew, Roman!

ONE MORE

Here is another one of my swap cards. I finally got my dinky little sewing machine to work... can you tell that I sewed on the card?

Once again: Please DO NOT copy this for your convention swaps... It will break my heart!

Getting ready for CONVENTION!!

This is one of a few designs I am going to use for my convention swaps this year. I finally had some time to play today... first I had to make a blanket for my new nephew, Roman. Garden Whimsy is one of the best sets I have ever owned. I am in LOVE!! I used Wild Wasabi, River Rock, and Shimmery White card stock. I used the Wild Wasabi, River Rock, and Purely Pomegranate ink. It is great how these new In Colors coordinate with one another so well. My favorite is the River Rock.
Don't really know how well you can see, but I used my paper piercing tool a lot on this card! I hope you like it.

Well Off to stamp some more!!

PLEASE NOTE: If you are attending convention, please DO NOT use my card to create your swaps! I am sure everyone knows that this would not be the right thing to do, but I just wanted to say it just in case :)

I've been TAGGED by Kenzie!

I am supposed to tell you 7 things about myself so here goes...

1. I have two serious addictions... chocolate and coffee.

2. I currently have 126 stamp sets in my closet. (Don't tell Leif)

3. I still have all of my grandparents :)

4. I am only one of 6 kids my parents were blessed with! LOL

5. I own over 50 pairs of shoes.

6. I am going to be an aunt again in about 8 months!

7. My middle name is Jade.

Well, I would tag bloggers, but Kenzie took all of my blogger friends! LOL

I will have Patty, Stephanie, Mom, and all of my other club members post in the reply 7 things about themselves.

Thanks Kenzie for tagging me!

This is a Thank you card that I made using Artfully Asian. I think that this is a pretty nice set.... I actually forgot that I owned it... So, I am going to do some stamping with it when I get some time. Maybe I'll use it on my convention swaps!?!

Don't you just love this set? I do! I've said this before, I am really sad to have seen it retire, but I wanted to share the card with you anyway.

Back from camping!

I am back from camping and can't even begin to tell you how nice it was to take a shower and wash my feet! We had a lot of fun. The kids had a blast and it was a nice break from housework and jobs. I want to share more pics with you when I have a little bit more time.... more later!!

Blonde Joke!!!

Just a little joke that a friend sent me today and I thought that I'd share with you.

Flat tire

A blonde's car gets a flat tire on the Interstate one day so she eases
it over onto the shoulder of the Road.

She carefully steps out of the car and opens the trunk. Takes out two
cardboard men, unfolds them and stands them at the rear of the vehicle
facing oncoming traffic.

The lifelike cardboard men are in trench coats exposing their nude
bodies to approaching drivers... Not surprisingly, the traffic became snarled
and backed up.

It wasn't very long before a police car arrives. The Officer,
clearly enraged, approaches the blonde of the disabled vehicle yelling, "What is Going on here?"

"My car broke down, Officer" says the woman, calmly.

"Well, what the hell are these obscene cardboard pictures doing here by
the road?!" asks the Officer...

"Helllllooooo, those are my emergency flashers!" she replied

I know that this picture is 2 years old, but McKinley looks so cute in her 4th of July outfit that I just had to share it with you. I wish that she was still that little!

Happy 4th of July everyone, hope it is a fun and safe day for all of you!

I'm going to lose some weight...

Okay,
I am one who needs a lot of encouragement to do anything that does not involve chocolate. I have decided to go on a diet. I started on Sunday and have lost enough weight already to motivate me to keep going. There is a weight loss ticker at the bottom of my blog so if you guys notice it not moving you need to give me a little push.... in a kind way.... if there is such a thing. Plus, wish me luck because we are going camping on Friday and I am a snacker. I tried not to buy a lot of junk food for the trip, but the kids needed to have a few yummy snacks... right?!? Anyway, keep an eye on my ticker and help me lose this weight!
