This year for Halloween we just went down town and went to all of the businesses. It was quick and easy... absolutely the way to go. Not to mention, that is was super warm out. Sophie didn't mind her costume at all. She slept most of the time we were out. Teagan didn't go with us this year. He decided he wanted to go to his grandma's house and Trick-or-treat with her. I have already picked all of the "bad" (wink) candy out of Kinley's bag for her!! Now I have my own small stock of chocolate! :) I'd have to say that this was one of the most laid back Halloweens that I have had in a long time. Hope you all had a good time too :)

Here is a pic we shot of the kids when we were in Boise a few weeks back. Can I just tell you what a joke it was trying to get these little turds to hold still or keep their fingers out of their noses!?! Good thing they are so dang cute or we'd have lost it. WOW!!

I need to update this a bit more often. Things have just been a bit crazy lately.... new baby... new car... PTO... school starting... stamping. A lot of changes. Sophie is growing up so fast. We are truly bless to have such a wonderful baby. She is always smiling (when she's not eating) and most of the time she doesn't fuss. As you can see from her pic, she is a big girl. Sophie already weighs in at 14 lbs. She is barely 3 months old ya know. We love her to death and are so glad that we decided to have another baby. I think that Leif is already thinking about 1 more. I, on the other hand, am fine for now.
We finally got us a new van. Other than the payment, we love it. The window on the driver's side actually rolls down so that when I drive through at the coffee shop, I don't look like a huge dweeb opening my door to order my mocha!! It's awesome. We can't wait to drive it to Boise in a few weeks. Leif is taking me to a Reba concert in Boise. He must love me because he HATES Reba. The truth is that I have been dying to go to one of her concerts. She finally decided to come somewhat close to us. My friend and I were going to go, but it just so happens that her little boy should be born around then and she didn't want to ruin the concert by giving birth while there. So, I guess Leif is kinda stuck. It's going to be awesome though!

Teagan is back in school.... I really hate school. I wish that summer was longer. PTO is the same as always... a ton of work and no appreciation from the administrater. I have been stamping here and there. I have some pics to post if I can find where I saved them at on my puter. When Leif gets home he will help me find them.

Boy, am I glad to have that over with! Sophie was born on Friday, June 20th @ 8:10 a.m. She weighed 8 lbs 13 oz. BIG GIRL!! I am so excited that she has hair... my other two were completely bald. She is healthy and happy. We are all happy to have her home with us. It's been fun to dress her up in all of her new clothes and hair bows. McKinley just loves her to death. I'll post more pics soon.

Okay, I did end up getting the seat cover thingy from Leif. I am sending it back because he also bought me a really awesome new office chair. (soft and pink) Plus, it was just not as cool in person. Won't hold very much of my stuff if I take it scrappin.... and so it is not what I'd pictured. Anyway, Leif's gma gave me a bunch of money for my birthday and I decided to buy myself a Nintendo DS with it! Plus I bought a game... brain age 2. It is kindof hard. I won't tell you how old my brain is according to the "doc". I played it for hours today and now it is time to clean my house. I was told to stay down if I could so this was a perfect thing to buy myself.... don't you think?!? I wonder what Leif's gma will say when I tell her what I got with the money she sent me... ha ha!

I just came across this thingy! I think it is awesome. They call it the Komfycush... I, however, think a more clever name would have been Komfytoosh!! It's pretty cool for taking along when you go scrappin' somewhere besides home. What do you all think??

New Shoes!!

I had to show all of you my new Chacos!! They are kindof an early birthday present. For those of you who don't know, these are the most comfy shoes ever. Plus, you can wear them in the water, camping, walking, pretty much anywhere. This is the hipthong. They are, of coarse, pink and brown. (or as McKinley would say, "pink and chocolate") My two favorite colors. Leif won't let me wear them until my birthday on Saturday though :( He's so mean sometimes. Anyhow, I am sure you couldn't care less about what kind of shoes I have, but I LOVE them and had to share.

This is a picture of Teagan learning to play grandpa Rand's mandolin. Rand is really proud of this because he actually built it. He is very talented. Teagan on the other hand... not so much. He loves it when Rand teaches him songs on all of his instruments though!
Holy cow!! Have you ever seen a baby this cute. Roman is the fattest baby ever!! He is super sweet too. Had to show you all how cute he is!
This is a pic of all of us at Leif's church in Boise. We had McKinley and Roman blessed on Sunday. Talk about weird. It is totally different than what I am used to at the LDS church. First of all, she is THREE years old. They blessed about 30 children all at once.....interesting. Leif's mom was really set on us doing it though so I am glad that we were there on "blessing day."

I have been wanting to stamp for weeks but have had no time. Tonight I decided to make some time. The only bummer was that I had a ton of cleaning to do before I could even find a spot on my desk to stamp. I really need to better about cleaning up after myself... that probably won't happen though! Anyway, this is one of the cards that I will be doing with my club on Saturday. I hope that everyone likes it. It is supposed to be a Mother's Day card. I wanted it to be somewhat generic in case some of them wanted to give it to someone other than their mom. These little felt flowers were a lot of fun to play around with. Oh, and I dyed the ribbon to make it match the card. Well, I am off to clean up the huge mess that I just made stamping. Does anyone else have this problem?? I can't seem to stay organized and neat while stamping.

How did you meet your spouse? Don't get the wrong idea when I tell you how this happened.... I was dating a guy named Jeff. Well one of Jeff's friends brought Leif over to a get together we were having. So I guess I met him at my boyfriend's house :)

Where did you go on your first date? I hate to say this, but I REALLY do not remember. Leif and I were always doing stuff. We were usually running off to Yellowstone for the day or going to concerts. We really did BIG things when we were together. I just called Leif at work to get the answer to this and he couldn't remember either. We are pathetic.

How long have you been together? In May it will be 5 years!!

Who eats more? I would have to say that I eat more. Leif works so much that half the time he only gets dinner.

Who said I love you first? Once again.... I don't really know. I wish that I had Danielle's memory, but I don't. I can say that we both love eachother though... does that make the fact that I don't remember any better???

Who is taller? Leif... not by much. We are both pretty small people.

Who sings better? Leif probably sings better. But when I sing... I sing BETTER songs!!

Who is smarter? Oh this is EASY!!! Leif is probably the smartest person that I know. He knows everything!! I tease him about being a nerd all of the time cause he is so dang smart :)

Who does the laundry? What is laundry?

Who does the dishes? Me. I can't seem to get my family to put a dish in the dishwasher.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Leif does. I, like Danielle, feel safer putting someone between the door and myself.

Who pays the bills? Leif does! He is great with money so I'd rather he handle that!

Who mows the lawn? Once again, I'd have to say Leif.

Who cooks dinner? I do. Not as regularly as I should. I really don't like to cook.

Who drives when you are together? ME!! I want say anything else just in case Leif decides to read my blog!

Who is more stubborn? Anybody who knows us will tell you that I am more stubborn. I really like to get my own way.

Who is the first to admit when they’re wrong? Leif. He is always the first to say sorry and admit that he is wrong. Sometimes when he really wasn't wrong but wants me to feel better. By the way, I am rarely wrong! :) LOL

Who kissed who first? Hmmm.. maybe I should have written all of this stuff down. I am a lady so I am going to go ahead and blame this on Leif.

Who proposed? Leif did. And, it only took 3 years to marry me. 3 years and a couple of kids!

Who is more sensitive? Me. I am a baby. Leif's job has taught him to be a rock. Nothing bothers him.

Who has more friends? Neither of us have a ton of "friends"... we both have a lot of acquaintances though.

Who has more siblings? Me. I have 5 and he just has one sister.

Who wears the pants? This is an easy one.......... DEFINITELY ME! ( if you don't count McKinley )

Leif and I went on a little trip to Park City, Utah for the weekend and left McKinley with my grandparents for a few days and then she went with my mom and dad for the rest of the time. Here are some cute pics that my grandma took of Kinley being a cowgirl. She was so excited to go to my grandpa's and see his horses. Before we took her there, we stopped at WalMart to pick some stuff up and she insisted that I buy her a cowboy hat so she could be like grandpa. She wore her hat and her pink cowboy boots with lots of pride. "My grandpa is going to love my new chocolate cowboy hat and my boots!" She just kept repeating that the whole way to Idaho Falls.

McKinley was so excited to get her hair curled. When I was done curling it she turned and said, " My dad is going to say Kinley is so gorgeous. We have to be careful so daddy can see me." This is my baby brother's brand new baby, Sean Jr. I guess that we will be calling him by his middle name, which is Rylee. You can't tell from the picture, but he has very RED hair. So far, I have been the only red head. My two kids don't even have red hair. I am excited and I think that he is so dang cute. I'm not really sure why, but I am really excited for Easter to come. I have been thinking about it all morning. What to have for lunch... how many eggs to hide.... what to put inside of the eggs... and on and on. For the last 3 years, I have had my family out to my house to eat lunch and then we have a huge egg hunt with at least 100 eggs. Today, I am going to call all of my brothers and sisters and see if they want to come over again.

Sophie Julienne

I finally talked Leif into talking names with me! I have wanted to name her Sophie since I found out that she was a girl... he had other names in mind. Then, he found out that his grandma's middle name was Sophia and he was convinced. Julienne is my grandma's middle and I've always thought that it'd be fun to name a daughter after her. Now she will be named after both of her great-grandmas!! I am really excited and just had to share!!

Okay... These are really crappy pictures but oh well... you get the idea. I made these for T-bone's teachers for V-day. They really liked them. It took about 5 seconds to make the nugget tin. I love these things. Next month for my club, we will be making the tins. I'm sure that everyone will enjoy them as much as I did. It is a quick, easy, and inexpensive way to make a small gift for someone!! Anyway, thought I'd share with you!

McKinley's 3rd birthday!

Well, the party is over! It was crazy, but fun. She loved all of her loot and we have been playing with it all day long! We have to take her to the doctor tomorrow because she got hurt playing in the playland. She can barely walk on her right foot. It's really sad to watch her limp around the house. I am hoping that it is just minor and that she is okay.

I have been trying to get some stamping done today. I got all 12 of my new sets mounted... this is huge because I have been really bad about mounting my sets lately. Club is next weekend and I have one of the cards done that I plan on making. I am still trying to decide if I want to post a picture because a lot of my clubbers look at my blog. I will say this... the Stampin' Up! rub-ons are AWESOME!! Anyway, hope you all had a great weekend!

IT'S A GIRL!!

Another princess for us! We went in for the ultrasound yesterday... I was so nervous this time for some reason. We are definitely having another girl. She kicked through the entire thing. This is awesome because babies with nuerotube defects typically won't move around much. Such a relief for me. My anxiety this go round is insane. I feel much better after seeing how perfect she looked. Can you see that she is sucking on her hand in this picture? So cute... very excited to scrapbook this one. I got a lot of really great pictures. Anyway, I better get back to getting my house ready for my company. McKinley is turning 3 on Sunday.... big party and lots of family ahead! I made this card for a swap I joined. We were supposed to use 2 of the in colors and one of Stampin' Up's classic colors. I decided to go with Soft Sky, So Saffron, and Wild Wasabi. The stamp set is a level 2 hostess set called Spring Solitude. I totally love this set. So simple, but it always seems to look good. It was sooo much fun cutting out all of those dang flowers without my paper snips :( I can't live without them anymore!! My new pair should be here tomorrow along with my $350 worth of goodies I got to order. I just love Leif!

I had an interesting day yesterday! Leif and I woke up, did some housework, hung out with the kids, and got married! Yep, got married. We've been together almost five years... have kids and one on the way. It was time. My sisters came over to witness the VERY small event and then we went to dinner with Patty, Paul, Denise, Missy, Michelle, Makayla, Harmoni, Teagan, and McKinley. It was actually really a fun day considering it was very untraditional. I woke up this morning to both of my cars covered in all kinds of things and lots of paint. My sisters are crazy. I can't tell you everything they put on our cars, but I can say that I am glad I took it off before the neighbors saw it!

That was my day. Now today... more cleaning and a little bit of stampin!

I have finally got McKinley's bday invites made and in the mail. I can't tell you how much of a relief that is.

Today, McKinley and I went shopping for most of the day. I let her pick out some stuff for her birthday. I am proud to say that she is one hell of a shopper. She wanted clothes and headbands. Not one toy. I ended up getting her some art stuff... markers, crayons, coloring books. She loves to color and draw. It's hard to belief that she is already going to be 3!

Some exciting news! I can feel the baby moving now. Mostly when I am lying down, but it is sooo cool to be able to feel the little one moving around. Next week, I get to find out what I am having. Then the SHOPPING begins. My favorite part of being pregnant and Leif's least favorite part. If it is a girl, we pretty much won't need anything. I kinda went crazy with McKinley so I have a TON of stuff saved. If it is a boy, however, we need everything. I am hoping for a boy since Leif is the last Thompson. It really doesn't matter as long as it is healthy, but people who say they really don't care at all are probably lying. I am sure that everyone secretly wants one or the other... healthy, but you know what I mean.

Anyway, enough blabbing on and on. I have lots of stamping to do tonight so maybe I will get a chance to finally post some pictures. REALLY this time.

Christmas is finally over.

You won't believe this.... I just took my tree and all of my Christmas decorations down yesterday. I am usually sad to see them go but I am amazed at how clean my house looks without all of the clutter from the decorations.

This week is going to be a little crazy. I am trying to get ready for a HUGE fundraiser at Teagan's school. Being PTO pres. is a major pain in the butt. It's more work than a full time job. And, I am throwing a baby shower for my little bro and his girlfriend. I am not even close to ready for that and it is on Saturday. Leif is taking off to go to a meeting in Seattle for a few days so I will be all alone. Maybe that will give me some time to get some stamping done.

Good news!! I get have my ultrasound on Feb 7th. I am super excited to find out if this little one is a boy or a girl. McKinley and I think it is a boy.... we will have to see though. If it's a boy she wants to name it Teagan and if it's a girl she wants to name it Roman. I don't think we will be picking either of those names though!

I better get going. We have company coming from Boise in a few days so I am trying to get my house put together.

Thought that this was funny so I wanted to share it....

The boss of a big company needed to call one of his employees about an urgent problem with one of the main computers. He dialed the employees home phone number and was greeted with a child's whispered, "Hello?"
Feeling put out at the inconvenience of having to talk to a youngster the boss asked, "Is your Daddy home?"
"Yes", whispered the small voice.
"May I talk with him?" the man asked.
To the surprise of the boss, the small voice whispered, "No."
Wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, "Is your Mommy there?"
"Yes", came the answer. "May I talk with her?"
Again the small voice whispered, "No".
Knowing that it was not likely that a young child would be left home alone, the boss decided he would just leave a message with the person who should be there watching over the child.
"Is there any one there besides you?" the boss asked the child.
"Yes" whispered the child, "A policeman".
Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked "May I
speak with the policeman"?
"No, he's busy", whispered the child.
"Busy doing what?, asked the boss.
"Talking to Daddy and Mommy and the Fireman", came the whispered answer.
Growing concerned and even worried as he heard what sounded like a helicopter through the ear piece on the phone the boss asked, "What is that noise?"
"A hello-copper", answered the whispering voice.
"What is going on there?", asked the boss, now alarmed.
In an awed whispering voice the child answered, "The search team just landed the hello-copper."
Alarmed, concerned and more than just a little frustrated the boss asked, "Why are they there"?
Still whispering, the young voice replied along with a muffled giggle: "They're looking for me!"

By the time the Lord made woman,
He was into his sixth day of working overtime.
An angel appeared and said,
'Why are you spending so much time on this one?'
And the Lord answered, 'Have you seen my spec sheet on her?
She has to be completely washable, but not plastic,
have over 200 movable parts, all replaceable
and able to run on diet coke and leftovers,
have a lap that can hold four children at one time,
have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart

The angel was astounded at the requirements.
'Only two hands!? No way!
And that's just on the standard model?
That's too much work for one day.
Wait until tomorrow to finish.'

But I won't,' the Lord protested.
'I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart.
She already heals herself when she is sick
AND can work 18 hour days.'

The angel moved closer and touched the woman.
'But you have made her so soft, Lord.'

'She is soft,' the Lord agreed,
'but I have also made her tough.
You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish.'

'Will she be able to think?', asked the angel.

The Lord replied,
'Not only will she be able to think,
she will be able to reason and negotiate.'

The angel then noticed something,
and reaching out, touched the woman's cheek.
'Oops, it looks like you have a leak in this model.
I told you that you were trying to put too much into this one.'

'That's not a leak,'
the Lord corrected,
'that's a tear!'
'What's the tear for?' the angel asked.

The Lord said, 'The tear is her way of expressing her joy,
her sorrow, her pain, her disappointment, her love,
her loneliness, her grief and her pride.'
The angel was impressed.
'You are a genius, Lord.

I had a pretty great Christmas this year.

Leif got me a new MP3 player since my iPod died on me. It's a red Zune. He had it engraved with butterflies on the back and it says..." Merry Christmas Amanda" on it too :) He is too sweet. I thought that I couldn't like anything more than I liked my iPod... I was wrong! I LOVE this thing. It's a million times easier to work with than iTunes. I also got the photo studio that I have been wanting and a pair of Dr. Martins I've been scoping out for a few months. He told me Santa was out of money and I would not be getting my new shoes so I was way excited to open them on Christmas.
While on our trip to Boise we bought a Wii. Holy crap is it a blast to play with. My arms were KILLING me the day after we got it. I am not in good shape apparently. My mom and dad came over on New Year's eve and we stayed up and played it most of the night. It's quite a workout! I must say, baseball is my favorite game!
Now it is time to take down all of the Christmas decorations and get the toys put away. It is my least favorite part of the holidays. It has to be done... so off I go to do it. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

FINALLY!!

I have finally finished my Christmas cards! I didn't think that I was ever going to find the time to start any of my cards or post on here for that matter. Things have been a little crazy lately. I am still feeling very sick most days and that makes it hard to find the energy to do much of anything. I can tell you, however, that I have not missed an episode of Montel or Dr. Phil in a few weeks. That should tell you how much time I have spent lying on my couch. Later today I plan to post some pics of my cards and of some of the projects that I have done recently.

Oh... I got my new catalog the other day. I am super excited to show it to all of you. I love it!! There are a lot of fun sets in this catty. I am really looking forward to the new year and all of the fun stuff that I want to do with my club.

I'm PREGNANT AGAIN!!

I went to doctor yesterday to have an ultrasound to be sure that this pregnancy is going better than the last one. Everything is GREAT!! Baby has a great heartbeat and I am in perfect health. I had been soooo dang stressed out after just loosing a baby a couple of months ago, that I could not enjoy being pregnant again. Now that I know everything is great, I can enjoy it and start getting excited about the upcoming shopping... I mean, baby:) I am only 7 weeks, which means that we can expect a new baby in June. Leif and I are super excited to be having another baby. McKinley and Teagan are pretty excited too. McKinley may change her mind once baby gets her and gets a bit of attention though. She is a little spoiled :)

Here are the pics of the kids last night. McKinley was Lumpy... again. She wanted to wear this her costume for the second year in a row. Fine with me. She loves the Heffalump movie. Teagan was.... well.... I am not really sure. But it was scary and that is all he cared about. He borrowed the mask from his dad. (Colton) We did a trunk-or-treat with the neighborhood. It was a lot better than going door to door. Anyway, here they are. Hope you enjoy them.

This has turned out to be the week from HELL!! Besides my insane PTO schedule and not being at all prepared for club on Saturday, last night I was in an accident. I was in the roundabout... in the left hand lane... and a driver's ed student was in the right hand lane. Well, my arrow clearly allows me to exit the roundabout or continue through it. The other arrow clearly says that the right lane can only exit the roundabout. Long story short... the girl that crossed into my lane and hit me was not sited for this accident. They claimed that they were allowed to continue around the roundabout from the far right lane. Maybe the paint on the road is wrong? I doubt it, personally. The police officer, whose name is Alan Jackson (not joking), said that it was my fault because he thought the arrows were incorrectly painted on the road and I should have yielded for her. Why would I yield to someone driving along side me going the same direction in a two lane road? Can you believe this? Either way, I followed the posted signage and she did NOT!! We are absolutely taking this further. Leif is going to the police station with photos in the morning. There is nothing in our current driver's ed manual about roundabouts. The teacher in the car said that there was... HE IS A LIAR. I am still a little angry about the whole thing. I feel that all that girl learned was to be dishonest. Did I mention that an eye witness said that I stayed in my lane and that the other car crossed the line and side swiped me? Oh, and the driver's ed teacher picked the debris up thus disabling the officer from see the exact location on the road where impact occurred. Okay, I will stop ranting now. What do you think?

I finally broke down and bought myself a cuttlebug. I've been scoping these out for some time now... well... yesterday at Robert's they were 50% off! I had to buy it ;) I played with it a little bit last night at Patty and Paul's house, but didn't make anything. I am going to try and post a pic later after I have some time to create!

Last weekend I went and saw this band for the 3rd time!! This time it was 100% FREE!! They played in a park in Idaho Falls. I don't have much time so I will just say... Friday night I had Stephanie, Patty, Danielle, Sarah, and Clayton over. Us girls spent the night scrapbooking while Leif and Clayton played video games and watched 1408. I haven't done any scrapbooking in a VERY long time It was so much fun. You should have seen the junk food we had :) I made enchiladas and spinach dip, Patty made tons of cookies and some chocolate bread, and Sarah and Steph brought candy. YUMMY! Here are a few pics of some pages that I got done. The pics are of my now 7 yr old son... he was the cutest baby ever!

Well, I am back and I survived... kind of!

I got to meet my new nephew, Roman. I also got to go to Archivers and the Paper Cottage... both of which are awesome places to buy scrappin arsenal. The most eventful thing was when McKinley puked the whole way home... all over the van and everything in it. That was quite fun :) oh, and, We took McKinley and Teagan to build a bear and Kinley loved it. She made a dinosaur named Princess. Teagan didn't want to make anything... he just wanted to boss Kinley around. He was certain he knew what it was she wanted to make. Big brother syndrome is what I call that. He loves her...

Other than that, we pretty much just sat around at his sisters house. It really is hard to do a whole lot with 4 little ones in tow. We had fun though.

Leif has told me about a million times that he'd rather I didn't paint McKinley's toenails in the living room on the carpet. I always insist that I am a pro and he just needs to mind his own business and relax a little bit. Today was the day.... I knocked the full bottle of the brightest pink polish ever over and it went everywhere. Once I was able to catch my breath and think straight, I ran to the closet and got some remover out. I poured almost the whole bottle onto the bright pink stain.... it didn't get it completely out, but it made a HUGE difference. Those of you who know me well, know that I am desperate for new carpet... I assure you that this was an accident and that I would never pour the polish onto the carpet... spill my coffee, maybe :) Leif is going to totally flip out when he gets home and sees the stain in the middle of the living room. Needless to say however, McKinley's toes look great! She said, "Mommy, you reary bad grrr. (really bad girl) Daddy spank you bum and you will cry." What do you think of that? Even she knows that I am in big trouble now. One good thing, I didn't cuss at all... I was at a loss for words. I just know that Leif is going to think that this is my sad attempt at new carpet. The sad thing is that if I can't take care of the carpet that I already have, then how will I take care of new carpet? I've heard it a million times. Enough about that.. just pray that Leif doesn't notice :)

I am off to Boise for the weekend to see Leif's family and my new nephew that I haven't been able to meet yet. Have a wonderful weekend and we'll chat soon!

I can't tell you how excited I am to be going to the doctor today. It should be my last appointment. Just going to make sure that the D & C went okay and make sure that I am healing. It's been kindof hard to be happy the past week, but today I must say that I am feeling happy. I am soooo sick of going to the doctor. However, I want to get pregnant again very soon... so, I will be going to the doctor for that :)

Teagan is feeling a little bit better. He is going to stay with his dad this weekend while I do my stuff and Leif and Kinley go to Boise. I am going to see Chicago tonight and The Wreckers and Josh Turner tomorrow. Can't wait.

Thank you all for your kind word regarding my miscarriage. It really makes me happy to know that I have so many great friends.

Takin' a little break.

I have decided to take a little break... I have been very sick and need to take care of myself. It's not just me though. I found out today that my son is going to need a lot of attention for the next little while too. His intestines are completely backed up and he is at a high risk for a tear. That can be extremely dangerous. Once I recover from my "procedure" I will be back into the swing of things. Just need a little time to focus on healing me and making sure Teagan gets better. Isn't it funny how when things go bad they REALLY go bad?!?

This is a card that I just made for my SIL. Her bday is on September 11th so I thought I may as well get her a card made while I had a bit of time. I used the River Rock (my new favorite color) textured cardstock and Groovy Guava. I think that this hostess set is sooo adorable. I mostly wanted it for the cute little pea pod :)

Just one more angle so that you can kinda see some of the detail on it. I used my cropadile to dry emboss on the center circle. I used brads on the wheels and stamped on shimmery white CS. Click on the pics to see them up close.

Halloween Swaps

I finally got a little bit of time last night to sit down and use my new Halloween sets. Batty and Batty for you are my favorite Halloween sets yet. I had a good time messing around with them. Isn't it cool that they coordinate with the circle punches?!? I wasn't really sure what I thought about the new size of ribbon, but I am totally in LOVE. My plan is to purchase it in every color in a few weeks. Anyway, I hope that you like the card!

Today was the first time in a very long time that I have had time to do some stamping. I found it really hard to get into it though. I was stamping for a couple of hours and only ended with one card complete. I spent a lot of time playing with my new Batty for You set that came via UPS yesterday. It's been hard for me to gather energy for even the smallest tasks the past few weeks. You aren't going to hear me complaining though... at least I haven't had any morning, noon, and night sickness yet. ( I call it that because that is what it REALLY is ) I've been going to bed around 9:00 every night for the past 2 weeks, wake up at 7:00, and still don't feel rested. Back to my stamping... I made a Christmas card using my new Snow Wheel and Snowfall. My friend won Snowfall at convention and she didn't like it so she gave it to me in exchange for a retired set that I had and she really wanted. I will post a pic of the card in the morning when I figure out what the heck I did with my camera. I swear my brain has been less than functional lately. Oh, and I used my new Jumbo eyelets. I LOVE THESE THINGS!!! Buy them if you haven't already done so. I promise that you will be glad that you did. Anyway, check back for a picture of my card... My goal is to post it tonight, but at the latest, tomorrow.

My life has been somewhat crazy these past few weeks. I accepted a job teaching pre school and have already decided that I just don't want to be tied down... I found out that I am pregnant.. again... due in March.... I am still pooped from convention.... My son starts school in the morning but is far too sick to go... I am the PTO president this year, need I say more... you see, everything is just nuts. I haven't even done any swaps or posted pics of my make n takes from convention yet. Now that I have all of my PTO stuff sorted out, I hope to be able to do some stamping for fun very soon.

I plan on REALLY posting some pics tonight when the kids go to bed so keep a look out for them!!

I'm back from Denver!

Okay, well... I have actually been back for over a week. I have been so worn out and busy that I have still not looked at all of my swaps or unpacked all of my stuff. As soon as I got home I had to get ready for a huge family reunion. Those are always fun... and PTO is exhausting me. The sad thing is that school has not even started yet. Have any of you ever been PTO president before? If not... don't! If so, why the hell didn't you warn me?!? Anyway back to convention... I had lots of fun. We had a few mishaps ( I am still trying to move on so we will discuss them later) and bouts of bad luck, but all in all I had a great time. It was fun to hang out with Alyson and Lynsey for a few days and get to know them better. I learned a lot of new stuff. All of which I fully plan on sharing with you very soon! Like I said, things have just been nuts around here. If you could see my house right now you'd believe me!

School is starting next week for Teagan so I have to be at registration everyday this week... that should be lots of fun with a 2 year old in tow:)

I am very sorry that I haven't posted any projects or blurbs in some time... I am going to get back in the swing of things.

Today is THE day. I will be leaving for convention very shortly. I can't wait to get to Denver. It looks like I will be doing my swaps in the car on the way to Utah to catch the plane. I have been swamped lately so swaps were put on hold.... I have some of them done, just not all of them.

Boy, does it feel good to finally have all of that hair off of my neck! I cut off 8 1/2 inches and I LOVE it. I always feel good after a haircut. It's nice to do something for myself for once... buying stamps doesn't count... that benefits others as well as myself! :)

I know that that cartoon doesn't apply to me, but I thought it was kinda funny!

I am going to get my hair cut today. I haven't cut it for a whole year! No... I am serious. I cut it right before convention last year... sad isn't it?!? To be quite honest with you, I have no idea how I am getting my hair cut... just that I want it short. It is WAY too HOT to have long hair.

Today is going to be a pretty fun day. My aunt, uncle, cousin, and his wife are all coming to Pocatello and we are going to the Mystique theater. We are going to eat prime rib and see the play Beauty and the Beast! I can't wait. The last time I went to this place I had a blast... this should be even better. Although, the highlight of my company's day is the release of the 5th Harry Potter book at midnight. They are going to be sooo consumed by that, that they may not enjoy the show! :)

Getting ready for CONVENTION!!

This is one of a few designs I am going to use for my convention swaps this year. I finally had some time to play today... first I had to make a blanket for my new nephew, Roman. Garden Whimsy is one of the best sets I have ever owned. I am in LOVE!! I used Wild Wasabi, River Rock, and Shimmery White card stock. I used the Wild Wasabi, River Rock, and Purely Pomegranate ink. It is great how these new In Colors coordinate with one another so well. My favorite is the River Rock.
Don't really know how well you can see, but I used my paper piercing tool a lot on this card! I hope you like it.

This is a Thank you card that I made using Artfully Asian. I think that this is a pretty nice set.... I actually forgot that I owned it... So, I am going to do some stamping with it when I get some time. Maybe I'll use it on my convention swaps!?!

I am back from camping and can't even begin to tell you how nice it was to take a shower and wash my feet! We had a lot of fun. The kids had a blast and it was a nice break from housework and jobs. I want to share more pics with you when I have a little bit more time.... more later!!

Leavin' Town for the weekend!

Both of my sisters and two of my three brothers, oh, and my mom and dad, are going camping this weekend. Everyone will be bringing their significant other and all of the kids.... this should be fun. There will be about 13 kids under the age of 10 there. I am so excited to get out of my house! I hope you all have a fun weekend and I will share some pics with you when I get back.

Blonde Joke!!!

Just a little joke that a friend sent me today and I thought that I'd share with you.

Flat tire

A blonde's car gets a flat tire on the Interstate one day so she eases
it over onto the shoulder of the Road.

She carefully steps out of the car and opens the trunk. Takes out two
cardboard men, unfolds them and stands them at the rear of the vehicle
facing oncoming traffic.

The lifelike cardboard men are in trench coats exposing their nude
bodies to approaching drivers... Not surprisingly, the traffic became snarled
and backed up.

It wasn't very long before a police car arrives. The Officer,
clearly enraged,approaches the blonde of the disabled vehicle yelling, "What is Going on here?"

"My car broke down, Officer" says the woman, calmly.

"Well, what the hell are these obscene cardboard pictures doing here by
the road?!" asks the Officer...

"Helllllooooo, those are my emergency flashers!" she replied

Okay,
I am one who needs a lot of encouragement to do anything that does not involve chocolate. I have decided to go on a diet. I started on Sunday and have lost enough weight already to motivate me to keep going. There is a weight loss ticker at the bottom of my blog so if you guys notice it not moving you need to give me a little push.... in a kind way.... if there is such a thing. Plus, wish me luck because we are going camping on Friday and I am a snacker. I tried not to buy a lot of junk food for the trip, but the kids needed to have a few yummy snacks... right?!? Anyway, keep an eye on my ticker and help me lose this weight!

Just a quick card that I did with my club last week. We did a technique class. This card uses reverse embossing and watercoloring. The little dog tag is a fun way to show reverse embossing. I used my key tag punch to make the dog tag shape. I must say that I am sad to see this little puppy go!

Lately I have noticed that I never really get to stamp "just because", but that I do it because I "have" to. I spent about 7 hours today cleaning and getting caught up on laundry... if there is such a thing. When I walked down stairs and saw all of my stamping stuff scattered everywhere, I kind of felt sorry for how neglected it all was. So, I sat down and stamped just for FUN!!! This is just a little cork note holder. I am planning on doing it with my club in July if they are interested. It was really fun to sit down and work on something for no real reason... I am going to try and do more of that. I am madly in love with this river rock color. Probably my VERY favorite color out of ALL of the colors. It looks good with pretty much any color family too. I am starting to like double line doodles a bit too :)

Father's Day Coupons

Create a coupon has got to be one of my favorite sets. Every time that I use it I have a good time! This is the card that I made for Leif for Father's Day this year. Inside, the kids filled out the coupons... well Teagan filled out, and McKinley scribbled and drew babies. He loved it and told me not to throw it away.... WHAT? Do I throw anything away? I also used the big deal alphabet. A must have alphabet. I used the 1/2 inch circle punch to punch out the middle of the D's. Boy did that make a difference.... you should have seem my crappy cutting job the first go round. On this card, I used the new River Rock paper. River Rock is my favorite new "in color".

This is a card I made using an upcoming set called Double-line Doodles. I borrowed some of this card from Mary jo Albright. I changed it and made it my own, but thank you if you are out there. I don't know if you can tell, but there is paper piercing and I used strips of paper inside of the button in the place of white thread. I used my corner rounder punch, without it's guard on, to create the scalloped edge. Is anyone else hoping SU comes out with a brand new punch that will make scalloping a bit easier?!?

When you reach into your purse, your family scatters - they think you are reaching for that dreaded camera!
You see something metal in a parking lot or on the floor and you go back to pick it up. It turns out to be some sort of buckle/pop tab type of thing, so you pop it in your pocket, and think - yeah, I can put some ribbon through that.
You purchase every scrap magazine that hits the shelf, even though more than half the layouts in some are NOT your style.
You dream about layouts or crops.
You buy scrapbook "stuff" and have no idea how you are going to use it but think, "I will use it someday."
When you start scanning kids clothes because they would make great inspiration for a scrapbook page.
When you spend all day at work/school sketching layouts instead of working/studying.
You know you're addicted when you find an awesome piece of paper and actually DRESS your child up for pictures in clothes to MATCH THE PAPER.
You know you're addicted when your husband runs into the local eatery yelling "I need water....my truck's on fire!" And your first response is, "WAIT! I have the camera!"
You plan vacations around scrapbook stores or drive 175 miles to a scrapbook store
